This decision has been blessed by Pope Wife the first. A 2018 model, unboosted awd, 25k miles, 1 owner rental fleet. Tan leather with butt heaters. We are welcoming the Wagon Queen Family Truckster into our lives. The burgandy shows darker and more metalicy in real life. Boy do they drive nice. Still has a year of warranty left. 3rd person speaking Grind’s kids love it too.
It’s got a moving map. It talks to our phones. It has a few voice commands. It remembers seat positions. It tells us when shits behind the car or about to be. That’s really all we need. Climbing back in to the 2008 RAV to drive home felt awful springy and weird and it smelled funny after that new hotness experience.

Dude! Enjoy the new family hauler! I’ve always wanted a Flex as the family hauler but my wife prefers SUV’s. I am pretty jealous.

Not a bad choice! We already have a van for hauling duty, but I’m still considering these for my next DD just so we can swap cars whenever, no hassles. I love the low ride height, which IMO is exactly why these didn’t sell better. I’d like a shorter hood (transverse V6, why the extra length?) but whatev. Enjoy!!

Congrats! Great color. If I had to buy a vehicle this big, the Flex would be the first thing I’d check out.

Very nice! Glad you got one before they're out of production.

I think the hood is just the style and filling out a corner of the box. Also there has to be some space in there if you checked a box involving a couple turbos. It wasn’t too bad driving around the parking lots of the dealership, parking it and it surprisingly did NOT handle like a minivan. My parents have a current generation Odyssey and in comparison their car drives like a big wallowy van around town although awesome on the interstate. Flex does not feel as big as it visually looks while driving. Go check one out.

Which means the last year models will be going for clearance prices in another year or so unlike the last model year Rangers which still had active buyers.

It’s been a few years for me (this was second place to the Odyssey, but just on interior space). This time, I’m in charge of the final decision ;)
As long as the wife is ok with that, I mean.

What about the Highlander, since y’all are a Toyota family? I have a RAV4 the same generation as yours, and it’s been great reliably.
Just read your last post. Never mind. I hope the Flex works!

Congrats! I rode in one exactly once in an Uber from the airport. It was roomy and comfortable.

Congrats! I really like those and if I needed a family hauler it would be at the top of the list especially if the kids were past the car seat stage.

Nice! Congrats

Congrats! I’ve felt that Ford seats are the most comfy in the car world. I didn’t even know the Flex came in non-boosted form, it should last you a good long time.

Yeah - wagon. And because it’s a Ford, any village smithy will be able to fix it. It’s the successor to the Freestyle, except with way more toys ... what is not to like?
